Sky Go Movies Express

A few months ago, we produced a set of visuals for Cake Group’s movie-inspired carriages for the Sky Go Movies Express.

Cake themed four carriages in the train, which ran between London Euston and Birmingham New Street to promote the launch of Sky Movies channels on the Sky Go service. We were asked to visualise the Narnia-themed carriage; a snowy wood scene!

Below is the mood-board Cake provided as a basis for our visual.

We gave this to our in-house visualiser, Linda to produce a black and white outline (below). Whilst still quite rough, it provides a good basis for any layout amends or re-positioning.

Once the layout was approved, Linda coloured the visual to bring each of the elements to life! You can now clearly see the snow, fur trees and detail on the costumes as well as the Sky Go branding.

We were really excited to see our visual had been transformed into the main press image for the Sky Go Movies Express promotion! A vintage train was dressed in snow and furs for a photoshoot featuring actress, Tamsin Egerton as a snow queen (below).

Give Up Clothes for Good

We were asked to produce this serious-looking poster for TK Maxx’s Give Up Clothes for Good campaign to raise money for Cancer Research’s vital research into children’s cancers.

Give Up Clothes for Good Campaign

TBM artist, Bill digitally produced this grey-toned visual, featuring a young boy standing on the steps of Trafalgar Square; and will be used for future press ads for the campaign.

TK Maxx and Cancer Research UK’s ‘Give Up Clothes for Good’ campaign is the UK’s biggest clothes collection. You can support the campaign again in April 2012 by taking a bag of your old quality clothes into your local TK Maxx store. (more)

HARIBO Advert 2012 – Just too good

We provided Quiet Storm with a set of flat-colour storyboards for their latest TV & cinema campaign for Haribo!

HARIBO Advert 2012 - Just too good storyboard

Quiet Storm creative team, Trevor Robinson and Neal Colyer got in touch with pre-viz rep, Rob Taylor to produce storyboards for their ‘Just Too Good’ campaign. Three Blind Mice artist James produced the trace and line before house artist, Jo Ley stepped in to bring each frame to life with colour.

If you’ve not yet spotted the finished commercial, it features a Dad and his daughter challenging other children in a pretend ‘test’ to try and resist eating a piece of HARIBO Starmix in return for another piece… with some hilarious results!

Anti-Stress Pack

We have developed an ‘oh-so-limited-edition’ Stressed Client pack, handed to selected clients who have gone beyond the call of duty in the line of the greater Advertising good…

Each pack contains several special soothing items of food, drink and mental sustenance alongside yoga instructions – all to be used the next time our client is asked to cope with the same levels of stress (and stupidity).

Last month we gave one of these packs to Lundi from Expose, as a thank you for dealing with loads of horrible deadlines and client stress whilst he was working alongside us!

SNICKERS: You’re Not You When You’re Hungry

Threeblindmice were lucky to work with Producer, Carol Powell and her assistant, Miles Angell at AMV BBDO on this delicious 2D animatic!

We were approached by Carol and her team to produce an animatic for the latest Snickers TV campaign, using the famous tag line ‘You’re Not You When You’re Hungry’ along with Dynasty actress and well-known Diva, Joan Collins.

Set in a men’s changing room, Collins accuses a football team-mate of stealing her deodorant. She is handed a Snickers bar because she is “acting like a diva” before transforming back into a football player.

Visualising artist, Bill drew and coloured each of the frames before our house team animated them. He had originally created a few different variations of Joan, from more life-like to caricature:

Besides a few script changes, the AMV team also added a second Dynasty actress (not originally featured in the animatic) – local Bad Girl, Stephen Beacham! However, generally speaking our 2D animatic was a close pre-viz of the finished advert – check out these still comparisons:

And, of course, watch the finished ad produced by AMV BBDO here! We love it!

The finished commercial has received plenty of positive press attention, including a brilliant behind the scenes article in the Daily Mail and Pick Of The Week in advertising trade magazine, Campaign:
